Do I need to be licensed to list on SyriaCentral?
For the free tier, no โ anyone can list their own property or represent a friend or relative. For the verified-agent badge, yes โ we verify either a current Syrian real-estate licence or equivalent professional registration.
Can I list properties I don't own (sub-agent listings)?
Yes, with the owner's clear consent. We don't require a written power of attorney upfront, but you're responsible for being able to produce one if a buyer asks. Repeat complaints about unauthorised listings will pause your account.
How does the verified-agent badge work? What's the vetting process?
Apply from your dashboard once you have at least one listing live. We check your licence (if applicable), confirm your office or operating area, and call your two most-recent client references. Usually 3โ5 business days. The badge can be revoked if standards slip.
What if I don't speak English โ can diaspora buyers still contact me?
Yes. Every listing is auto-translated both ways: you write in Arabic, the diaspora reads in English, their WhatsApp message comes through to you in their language and you can reply in whichever you're comfortable with. Most diaspora buyers still read Arabic fluently anyway.
Can I bulk-upload my existing listings from Facebook or another site?
Not via a one-click import yet. Today: paste your description into our submit form, attach the photos, and we'll do the bilingual translation automatically. Bulk-import via spreadsheet is on the roadmap for agency accounts.
How do you handle disputes between buyers and agents?
We don't arbitrate sales โ every transaction is yours. We do investigate listing-side complaints (misrepresentation, fake listings, undisclosed defects) and we keep a private complaint history visible to our verification team. Patterns matter; one upset buyer does not.
Do you take a commission on my sales?
No. The free tier is free, full stop. The verified tier is a flat monthly fee โ not a per-deal commission. We make money from the verified tier and from optional featured placements, not from what closes.
What does "Featured placement" actually mean?
Your listing surfaces at the top of relevant search results for a defined window (typically 7 or 14 days), with a subtle "Featured" tag. We cap featured slots per search page so it never feels spammy.
Can I cancel anytime if I'm on a paid tier?
Yes. Cancellation is one click in your dashboard, takes effect at the end of your current billing month, and your free-tier listings stay live.
